Project Overview
We need volunteers to help research grant opportunities and develop, write, and submit grant proposals to third-party entities. We also need help reviewing grant budgets, reporting data on the performance of program activities funded by third-party public, private sources, foundations, and corporate and individual philanthropist prospects, and working with other staff in the maintenance of the grant proposal and research process.
We'd like volunteers with Bachelor’s Degrees with at least two years of experience as a grant writer for a nonprofit organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization. Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
Our goal is to make children's lives better. We transform children in rural areas by empowering them with our literacy program. The cycle of poverty and lack of education is intertwined with one another. It is challenging to find the financial resources to pursue an education when one is living in poverty. Education is often referred to as the great equalizer: It can open the door to jobs, resources, and skills that help a person not only survive but thrive.
Education helps to remedy many of the other issues that can keep people, families, and even whole communities vulnerable to the cycle of poverty. With your help, we'll be able to provide education for underprivileged children.
We have all the supporting documents to help you write the proposal. Our staff has prepared our foundation's tax returns. Our staff has prepared the budget, expenses, and project information. We are ready to implement the project.
