Budgeting Report
We need assistance creating a budget package to enhance transparency and align with our organizational goals.
For prospective board members, the package will include:
- Profit and loss statement
- Grant income and spend-down overview
- Budget
- Organizational objectives
For current board members, the package will include:
- Detailed program and operating income/expenses
- Grant income and spend-down specifics
We also seek a volunteer finance professional to evaluate our financial situation, pricing strategy, and risk factors. This project may include:
- Financial forecasting
- Recommendations for a ‘rainy day fund’
- Best practices for achieving a surplus
- Financial scenarios for increased community need
This project is estimated to take 36-48 hours, with a weekly commitment of 3-5 hours. Your expertise will help us strengthen our financial practices and better serve our community!
This project will strengthen our nonprofit's financial foundation, enabling us to:
- Enhance transparency with board members, funders, and stakeholders.
- Align financial strategies with our mission-driven objectives.
- Optimize resource allocation to support food security, children's health, and community development programs.
- Build financial resilience to sustain and expand our impact during increased community needs.
Improving our financial management practices guarantees the long-term sustainability of our programs and better serves the communities that rely on us.
We’ll ensure success by:
- Preparing in Advance: We have gathered our budgeting information and will share access to Quickbooks.
- Providing Key Documents: Share detailed financial reports and organizational objectives.
- Maintaining Communication: Schedule regular check-ins and establish clear communication via Slack.
- Setting Clear Goals: Define deliverables, timelines, and priorities collaboratively.
- Allocating Resources: Work with the Executive Director for support and timely information access.
- Incorporating Feedback: Actively implement recommendations to improve financial practices.
We plan to implement the recommendations from this project before February, ensuring a stable foundation for success through collaboration and transparency.
