Tableau Data Visualization

Our goal is to finalize a Tableau (data visualization) that shows the number and earnings if the workforce in the USA by race, ethnicity, industry and earnings at the national, state and county level. We are using Census data from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages through the LED extraction tool. We've completed the Tableau about 95% however are having some trouble with the earnings calculations (aggregating vs. using totals, means vs. using averages) and would love the help of a statistician or data analyst with experience in Tableau.

By working with us on this project, a volunteer will be able to contribute to a user-friendly and much-needed analysis of workforce demographics across the US. We'll be making this publically available and feel it will be incredibly useful for not only our organization but many others who could benefit from this type of information.
For Project Equity, we envision a future where employee ownership is the preferred business model to strengthen small businesses and local economies and build wealth for working people and communities of color across the United States. This data will help us target communities with a high number or density of workers of color. Our goal is to transition businesses into employee-owned and advocate for employee ownership models across the nation.

We have gathered and analyzed the data and designed the tableau (functionality and layout). The core of this project is complete. Our focus is now on the accuracy of the data.

Our aim is to get this published and recognized/used by municipalities and policymakers at the regional and national levels.
