Research For Writing Residency Database

We need emergency research! Pen Parentis maintains the ONLY online database that exclusively lists writing residencies that help parents attend.

If you are happy on the internet and possibly following up with phone calls, we want you! We estimate around 3-5 hours total. This task is just the research portion - uploading the information to our online database is a separate task that someone else can do (or you can choose to, if you happen to decided you like working with us!)

Pen Parentis has a mission to help writers stay on creative track after they have kids. This is the ONLY database of its kind!

We thought we had this covered, but Pen Parentis is staffed primarily by volunteers - and this task had been assigned to an intern who never told us she couldn't talk on the phone to strangers. So it hasn't been updated since 2022~ please help us out - we are all spread thin because of an upcoming conference and we had been expecting to use this database as one of the resources that we offer writers for free - but if it's out of date it isn't useful! We would LOVE your help if you have the time!!

The database is available to see online (writerparentannex.com). We currently list 31 writing residencies that have some kind of special bonus for parent-writers. Each link needs to be checked and the updated information written down in an evergreen way.

If the residency offers the same deadline annually, please indicate this. If the residency has shut down, we want to know!
