We are seeking a skilled Grant Writing Volunteer to assist with the drafting, refinement, and submission of grant applications for FairwAI, an AI-powered compliance and bias detection platform for the hospitality industry.

We have already identified several grant opportunities, and now need support in crafting high-quality proposals that effectively communicate our impact, innovation, and funding needs.

Key Tasks & Deliverables:
Grant Proposal Writing: Draft persuasive narratives and detailed funding proposals tailored to each identified grant opportunity.
Editing & Refinement: Strengthen clarity, compliance, and strategic messaging to align with funder priorities.

I've traveled to over 100 countries...Imagine this—you're traveling. You book a hotel. You arrive at the front desk, and something feels… off. Maybe it’s the hesitation, the subtle shift in tone, the extra paperwork they suddenly need. Maybe it’s the room you’re assigned—conveniently closest to the security cameras. You wouldn’t be the first.

Bias in hospitality is real. It’s unspoken, untraceable—until now.

Enter FairwAI, the first AI-driven compliance and bias detection system designed to uncover hidden discrimination in the hospitality industry. We’re not just talking about another DEI initiative. We’re talking about cold, hard data.

We rate hotels on bias risk.
We provide AI-powered compliance tools to help businesses self-correct.
We protect travelers—and protect businesses from costly lawsuits.

This grant writing project? It’s the difference between FairwAI becoming a global compliance standard or remaining an ambitious concept. And that’s where you come in.

Why Your Support Matters?
This project is critical to unlocking funding that will:

- Power Our AI Bias Detection System – Analyzing millions of real customer experiences to create the industry’s first AI-powered bias compliance score.
- Expand Our Reach & Protect More Travelers – Ensuring LGBTQ+, minority, and marginalized travelers receive fair treatment worldwide.
- Launch B2B Partnerships with the Hospitality Industry – Helping hotels and travel platforms reduce legal risk, protect brand reputation, and improve compliance.
✔ Move from Concept to Market – With the right funding, we can deploy FairwAI as a white-labeled compliance tool used across major hospitality brands.

This is about real-world accountability. A system that doesn’t just track bias—it forces the industry to fix it.

And you? You’ll be the one making it happen.

This is a Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity
- You’ll be securing funding for an AI solution that will set a new standard in compliance.
- You’ll be part of something that will change industry-wide policies.
- You’ll be helping us take FairwAI from an idea to an undeniable force in the market.

Major law firms are supporting us..
Bias in hospitality isn’t going away. But with your help, neither are we.

Legal & Compliance Support from Top Law Firms
We are advised by two major law firms, Baker Botts & Lowenstein Sandler, to ensure that our funding applications align with regulatory best practices and compliance standards.
This legal support provides an added layer of credibility and protection for how we use grant funding and structure our initiatives.
Strong Internal Buy-In & Leadership Commitment
The FairwAI leadership team, including our founders and advisors, is fully engaged and ready to provide the necessary guidance, insights, and support.
Our CTO, a former Google executive, and our founder, an MIT advisor and serial entrepreneur focused on providing portable power and internet to rural people in Africa, are hands-on and accessible for collaboration.
Clear Direction & Well-Prepared Grant Pipeline
We have already identified specific grant opportunities in AI, compliance, and social justice across the US, UK, and EU.
Research is fully completed, allowing the volunteer to focus on writing and refining proposals.
We have organized key documents, including our mission statement, business model, impact metrics, and financial projections, making it easier to develop compelling proposals.
A Well-Structured, Actionable Implementation Plan
Submitted grants will directly support FairwAI’s AI-powered bias detection and compliance platform, helping us scale partnerships with major hospitality companies.
We are prepared to immediately implement any successful grants by allocating resources toward product development and expansion.
A Collaborative & Supportive Environment
Our team is committed to making this an efficient and rewarding experience for our volunteers.
We will provide regular check-ins, feedback loops, and clear deliverables to ensure smooth progress.
We deeply value pro bono contributions and will gladly provide recommendations, LinkedIn endorsements, and networking opportunities in return.

Our thematic focus areas are health, education, and economic development with solar energy access being the thread connecting them all. With the power of Solar and IoT we can lift a generation out of poverty. Access to solar energy and last-mile distribution is a mission that SolarFi has tirelessly been working on. SolarFi Cares is currently working towards two main goals: - Providing power-generating pods for emergency response, combining a structure with portable solar-powered systems to provide power, communication and water in post-disaster zones. - Providing solar-powered clinics in rural Africa, tackling both the current response to COVID-19, as well as creating a long-term plan for economic sustainability post-pandemic. Our solar-powered clinics will serve as a center for primary diagnostic and preventive care in rural areas, equipped with COVID-19 test kits, antibody testing, basic medicines, vaccinations against other preventable diseases, and delivery of health supplies. Using solar energy to generate power allows the clinics to be completely off-grid, bringing healthcare to the most remote communities.
