Miles Perret Cancer Services | Health Conference Fundraiser

Our team has been tasked with creating another fundraiser to benefit our organization. I have the idea to create and host a Local, State, or Regional Health Conference that raises awareness, educates, and fundraises on behalf of MPCS. Think of health fairs, trade shows, and CTE conferences within industries; I feel this event could be beneficial not only for our organizations work, but for those serving cancer patients in our community. We need help outlining what this event would look like as a whole, we are still in the brainstorming phase and want to make sure this is an attainable event.

This project will be instrumental in the creation of this potential fundraiser/educational conference. With the end goal being funds raised to continue our free services and furthering education to local Oncology Professionals on: best practices, new findings, and other life-changing resources available to their patients.

MPCS is grateful to have had 25 years in our community, we've been able to do so because of our fundraising events. We currently have 3 major annual events - these are family oriented and/or athletic fundraisers that we take great pride in planning and executing. To move away from this audience and into industry support, we could be using our established networks within Louisiana Oncology (i.e. Pennington Biomedical, Ochsner Cancer Center, Blue Cross Blue Shield, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and more) Having been a part of our community as long as we have, we've been able to continuously grow and this event would surely add to that upwards trend. Our Advancement Team consists of an Event Coordinator, Community Liaison, Marketing & Branding Coordinator, and Partnership Coordinator (myself).
