Create a draft onboarding booklet for six new board members that organizes the existing bylaws and confidentiality forms and provides an organization overview, clear role descriptions, governance and fundraising guidance, an orientation checklist, meeting and fundraising templates, and suggested training topics. Details will be provided.
A clear, practical handbook will empower a new, inexperienced board to govern, strategize, and fundraise confidently, strengthening Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc.'s ability to deliver college tours, company visits, mentorship, and workshops to high school girls from underserved Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties. Volunteers will directly boost program quality and sustainability.
We will supply the existing bylaws and confidentiality forms and be available to review drafts and answer questions. Volunteers can interview staff and leadership to tailor the booklet. The final document will be reviewed by leadership and used at the new board orientation. Details will be provided during interviews.

Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Northern New Jersey that provides college and career exposure to high school girls from underserved backgrounds. We serve girls from low socioeconomic backgrounds who reside in Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties. Our mission is to expose high school girls to higher education and high-earning careers through college tours, company site visits, and personal development workshops. Our solution is to equip girls with the skills to build self-confidence and develop a sense of self-worth. We advance college and career choices for young women through a continuum of mentorship, real-world life skills, and positive youth development.
