We’re seeking guidance from a finance or accounting professional on correctly filing 1099 forms for payments we made in 2024 for labor, prizes, art sales, and auctions. This is our first year issuing 1099s, and we need help understanding which payments require a 1099, how to properly complete and file the forms, and common mistakes to avoid. Since our financial records are manually compiled, we’d also appreciate quick tips on organizing expense records to make future reporting easier. We understand this session won’t cover full financial organization, but any recommendations on best practices would be helpful.
