Recommendations for Professional Development Offerings

We are a small non-profit forest conservatory in a suburban town in northern New Jersey. We are in need of professional development for our board and staff in order to expand our programs to fulfill our mission and truly realize the potential of our organization. We have board members who are very supportive but underperforming in terms of fundraising and we have a staff and executive director who are very committed but need to "level up" their skills. We have conducted a SWOT and are using the data collected to inform a 4 hour strategic planning session (which we are conducting with no outside consultants) in late March, but are concerned that the outcomes will be underwhelming and simply affirm what we already know. We need some fresh thinking and direction, but are struggling with how to go about this without alienating our staff who work for relatively low pay.
